Thomas Tuchel name his Man of the match for today clash with Tottenham

In Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday, Mateo Kovacic had one of his best performances in a Chelsea shirt.

In the first half, the Blues were two goals down before the Croatian international blasted a beautiful volley into the top right-hand corner to cut the deficit for the home side at Stamford Bridge, before Christian Pulisic salvaged a draw.

Kovacic, whose season has been plagued by injury and Covid-19 issues, started in the Chelsea midfield with N'Golo Kante and made a big statement with his performance in the key encounter.

The 27-year-old midfielder signed from Real Madrid on a permanent basis in 2019 for £40million, and has showed his brilliance throughout his stay in west London, but has not convinced every Chelsea follower.
