Spurs have not won a major trophy in the last 14 years and counting. The last trophy they won was the League Cup back in 2008. All of their previous honours have come before 2000. Tottenham have managed to come close to winning the Premier League and UCL over the years. They were favourites to lift the title in the 2016-17 season but finished second to Chelsea. Tottenham also lost the UCL final against Liverpool in the 2018-19 season. As of now, Tottenham are fighting for a spot in the top 4 of the Premier League.

Manchester City on the other hand are not at their best. Even when not at their best, Pep’s team are second in the league. Manchester City cannot afford a loss as they have to chase Arsenal’s 5 point lead at the top. Pep will look to add his 5th Premier League title in 6 years.

Injury And Team News

John Stones is set to miss the clash against Tottenham Hotspurs. This is because of a hamstring injury which he suffered against Arsenal in the FA Cup. Phil Foden is also a minor doubt because of a foot injury but can possibly play against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Lucas Moura is running down the last few months of his Tottenham Hotspurs contract. Unfortunately a tendon injury has ruled him out. Pape Sarr is surely set to miss the match against Manchester City because of a hip injury. The injury will not sideline him for too long but it is probable that he will miss the match against City.
